    • Abstract:
After the sudden attack of the repressive cycle a the beginning of the XX century (1903-1907) the anarchists from Santiago and Valparaiso played a very important role in the re-articulation of the working and people's movement between the years 1912 and 1913. The "Huelga del Mono" (Monkey's Strike) initiated in October 1913 in Valparaiso, led by the anarchic FORCH (Federación Obrera Regional Chilena)1, provoked solidarity among many workers' organizations, generating a multiplying effect in several cities. In the capital city - Santiago - anarchists made an open call to sum up to the major strike decreed by anarchist from Valparaiso, participating in innumerous support meetings. Facing this increasing amount of strikes, the government and employers repressed violently the anarchic organizations and their militants through forced entries, complots and torture, in order to inarticulate them.
