Application of Genetic and Cellular Manipulations to Agricultural and Industrial Problems.

The article presents the authors' views on the developing possibilities for application of cellular and genetic manipulation to human disease problems. They believe that another area of application, industrial and agricultural processes, will soon develop. According to them, biological technology modifies organisms and applies cellular processes to ecological and manufacturing problems. Scientists are expected to engage in interdisciplinary conversation, policy making, and social responsibility.
