The article reports that the intellectual property bill Prioritizing Resources and Organization for Intellectual Property Act has gotten its first hearing before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee in Washington D.C. on December 13, 2007. Backed by a partisan roster of co-sponsors, the bill is expected to dramatically reorganize the law enforcement efforts aimed at combating counterfeiting and piracy.
