    • Abstract:
The author reflects on the discrepancies that can be detected in the medical education taught in North America and Europe. He says that these countries still vary when it comes to some medical concepts despite the globalization of medical education. He takes for instance are the issues relating to quality assurance and to the working hours for physicians. Because of these, he states that the assumption of shared agreement about objectives and practices in medical education is widely overstated.
