    • Abstract:
This article discusses the genetic similarities between human beings and chimpanzees. Research, published in the journal "Nature Genetics," is cited indicating that micro-RNA plays a central role in the differentiation between humans and chimpanzees by regulating gene expression. The possibility that the regulation of genes through the operation of micro-RNA is responsible for the differences in the brain structures of the two species is considered.
