- Abstract:
The article discusses the preparation of the telecommunications companies in meeting the challenges of hosting the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China. A mix of new wireless technologies are set to play a critical role in assuring a successful Beijing Olympics which will begin in August 2008. Zhao Jidong, senior vice president at China Netcom Corp., said that the 2008 event will involve the widest adoption of broadband and mobility services in history.
