    • Abstract:
The article argues that the partnership model for social and cultural organization can contribute towards the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) of the United Nations. The authors favor this model, confronting it to the domination model presented as the one currently prevalent. They then assert the argument that the realization of the MGDs depends on shifting towards a world where partnership rather than domination is the norm. Moreover, they elaborate on the characteristics of both models and share examples of countries where one or the other prevails. The role of education in order to contribute towards a society where partnership prevails is also elaborated.
