      The article focuses on the analysis presented by the Justice Department concerning the cause of methadone deaths related to diversion from hospitals, practioners, and pain management physicians in the U.S. It is inferred that the total number of legitimate distributions of methadone to businesses has increased from 2001 through 2006. The chart depicting the legitimate distribution of methadone is provided.
