- Abstract:
The article provides a discussion of the effect of the electoral change that has been applied to the community of the Isle of Man. It is mentioned that the community has undertaken several changes in their electoral system including a new House of Keys and a formation of a new style of government under a single transferable voting system applied for the first time. The article also gives attention to the differences that have been caused by the above-mentioned innovations. A background and an overview of the reform in The Isle of Man, along with the party system and the nature of the 1986 election, are also discussed.
