      The article presents information on the Estonian government. It consists of a 101-member parliament, known as the Riigikogu, and a president who is elected indirectly by parliament. The president chooses the prime minister with the consent of the parliament to supervise the work of the government. At the local level, the citizens elect government councils by proportional representation.
