      This article looks at the prosperity in Tunisia and says the cost of the economic success has been democracy. Tunisia has created a Western style economy with plenty of skilled workers. This has brought in major corporations such as Pfizer, Ericsson and Siemens. As the tiny country thrives along side its poor neighbors, it does so without any natural resources. President Ben Ali, who took over after a coup, is largely credited with the affluence but is every bit the dictator.
