The article reports on the planned launch of the second phase of the industrial development programme of the city government of Cairo in Egypt on October 16, 007. According to Amr Assal, head of Cairo's Industrial Development Authority, the programme involves the creation of 10 industrial zones. Applications to prequalify must be received by November 18, 2007. About 14 companies have already expressed interest.
