- Abstract:
The article reports on the concept of urban poaching, the illegal killing of animals in residential areas. Craig Lonneman, an Iowa conservation officer, states that poachers are willing to break any laws and even set traps and blinds in parks frequented by children. Poachers make money from these kills as animals such as deer, bears and sheep bring as much as $60,000 on the black market.
