      The article focuses on the various charitable foundations which provide support to older people in the U.S. The author provides a discussion on the charitable services offered by the organization Grantmakers in Aging, the operation of the Foundation Funding in Aging, and information concerning the largest aging funder Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). The author explores the actions carried out by John A. Hartford Foundation (JAHF) to address the increasing number of older people comprising the society. They include developing strategies in the field of geriatric medicine, nursing, social work and education which help to enhance the care and support given to older adults. In addition, charitable foundations can already be gained access through websites available for grant seekers.
