- Abstract:
The article discusses the population of Mustang horses in America. An unchecked horse population can have negative effects on an environment, leading the government's Bureau of Land Management to consider allowing the sale of mustangs into slaughter, which was banned in 1971. Historical instances of horses being killed for consumption are noted.
