    • Abstract:
The article offers the views of Oscar Olivera, president of the Cochabamba Federation of Factory Workers, on the conflict regarding water in Bolivia. Olivera emphasizes that his group fights to keep the sources of water from becoming the property of a foreign investor. Moreover, he claims that the water war was a fight for democracy. He also explains about a new kind of relationship between people and the nature. He further cites the need for the people to use oil, water, gas and biodiversity in a way that allows the generations of today and of the future to live lives of dignity.
