      The article profiles classically trained African American dancer Alicia Graf, who dances with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, one of the United States' most successful dance companies. A discussion of Graf's interest in and professional training in dance, of several of Graf's performances in shows, including "Reminiscin", and reaction to being diagnosed with reactive arthritis, is presented. Graf's involvement with praise dancing, which is a form of worship which involves dancing to gospel music, is discussed.
