The article presents four suggestions for strengthening the Canadian film industry. The success of films made in Quebec suggests more French language titles should be produced. Telefilm Canada, the government agency that subsidizes the Canadian film industry, should have its budget increased. Taxes should be imposed on films from the U.S. Tax incentives should be used to encourage Canadian actors and directors to work in the country.
