EPCRA Reporting Requirements for Dioxin and Dioxin-Like Compounds Revised.

The article reports on the revision of the Emergency Planning and Community Rightto-Know Act Section 313 reporting requirements for dioxin and dioxin-like compounds by the U.S. Environment Protection Agency (EPA) on May 10, 2007. Aside from the required for continued reporting of total gram quantities of these compounds, the revision also requires facilities to report the mass quantity of each individual member of the category. According to EPA, the revised reporting requirements will improve the usefulness of the toxic release inventory data by providing additional information on the toxicity.
