The article presents an argument against campaign finance reform which claims that it violates the U.S. Bill of Rights by restricting free speech. It is suggested that the campaign finance reform proposed by Senators John McCain and Russ Feingold in 2001 violates the Constitution as it restricts speech. A brief history of campaign finance reform in the country is presented. The article also discusses the use of political advertising by interest groups to petition public support on relevant issues.
