      The article offers information on a workshop on student support services in distance and online education held at the University of Kashmir in India from September 18 to 20, 2006. Facilitators of the workshop were professor Manjulika Srivastava and doctor Sanjaya Mishra. The workshop focused on issues such as the overview of distance education in the country and abroad as well as online learning as support mechanism. The participants engaged in various activities such as lecture presentations and discussions.
