      The article offers information on the national workshop "Development of Self-Learning Materials for Distance and Online Learning," held at the headquarters of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in New Delhi, India from August 28 to September 2, 2006. The objective of the seminar which includes familiarization with the principles of adult learning and distance learning and developments in distance education are presented. It notes that the 44 participants were able to learn from 32 resource persons.
