- Abstract:
The article provides an overview about the study of new type of light sensor in bacteria, the light, oxygen or voltage (LOV) histidine kinase. The researchers mentioned that the light increases the development of the notorious pathogen Brucella aburtos, which makes the tendency for further virulence. The research raised a lot of questions concerning the new field of bacterial photobiology including the functions of LOV histidine kinases toward the other species and the signaling partners of photosensors.
