      In this article the author discusses the U.S.-run military base at Menwith Hill, Yorkshire, England. Protesters opposed to the activities at the base state that it is a significant element in global electronic eavesdropping, anti-missile defense and offensive warfare in the Middle East. The article suggests that a new Cold War is developing between the United States and Russia.
