    • Abstract:
The article reports on genetic research on mice that may help explain the cause of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in humans. Researchers created mice lacking a gene called Sapap3, expressed in an area of the brain called the striatum. The mice spent large amounts of time grooming, until they were given extra Sapap3 protein.
