    • Abstract:
The article deals with a robotics platform developed by Illah Nourbakhsh of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) and his colleagues. The robotics platform was incorporated in a robotic flower that opens and closes in response to light changes. Nourbakhsh hopes that the platform, which is called Qwerk, will launch an open-source robotics movement and will make robot design more flexible for people intimidated by existing techniques and parts. Nourbakhsh and his colleagues at the CMU Robotics Institute claimed that Qwerk is the first easy-to-use, low-cost robotics controller to contain power regulators, controllers and Internet connection architectures in one place.
