    • Abstract:
The article focuses on the health benefits of green leafy vegetables. Researchers suggest that two carotenoid pigments in leafy greens--lutein and zeaxanthin--may help protect both the lens and the retina. Researchers also suspect that green leafy vegetables protect the human bones because they are loaded with vitamin K which is best known for its ability to help blood clot. Also, in several studies, people who reported eating more fruits and vegetables had higher bone density.
