The article presents a study which compares the efficacy of duct tape and moleskin in treating viral warts. The study utilizes 90 adults with 126 warts who were randomly assigned to occlusive therapy with either duct tape or moleskin. A research protocol was given which involves the shaving of the wart with a scalpel and the application of a pad for a week. Results of the study revealed that the occlusion with duct tape is less effective than occlusion with moleskin in treating common viral warts in adults.
