High Court Upholds Wash. State Law on Union Fees.

The article presents information on the ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court that teachers' union members may not spend representation fees on political activity without having gotten consent of nonmembers. Nonmembers are charged agency fees because they benefit from the collective bargaining of the union. It was noted that the Supreme Court did not address the issue of whether it is fair for nonunion members to have to pay mandatory dues.
