ETHNICITY AND YOUNG PEOPLE BORN INTO THE HMONG IMMIGRANTS. THE ATTACHMENT AND LOYALTY TO THE ETHNIC GROUP. (English)

This article comes within the framework of a research work centred on the questions of identity construction and ethnicity and conducted among members of the Hmong population living in France and more precisely in the Department of Gard. This text by no means exhaustive puts forward the concept of ethnicity used by a population of young Hmong people whose purpose is to claim their attachment to their ethnic group. Consequently, we consider outlining a model within which young adults, concerned about "the loss of parental culture ", will try to maintain an ethno-cultural corpus of materials. Cet article s'inscrit dans le cadre d'une recherche centrée sur les questions de constructions identitaires et d'ethnicité, et menée auprès de membres de la population hmong résidant en France, plus précisément dans le département du Gard. Sans se vouloir exhaustif, ce texte met en avant le concept d'ethnicité utilisé par une jeune population hmong à dessein de revendication et d'attachement ethniques. Nous envisageons donc d'esquisser les contours d'un schéma au sein duquel de jeunes adultes, préoccupés par la « perte de la culture parentale », tentent de maintenir un corpus ethnoculturel.
