      The article reports on a meeting of library professionals in Marseille, France, concerning programs to prevent the loss of important cultural materials and documents in the event of a disaster or other catastrophe. The meeting was co-sponsored by the Centre interrégional de conservation et restauration du patrimone (CICRP) and the French region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Participants discussed cooperation between European Union (EU) regions that encompass five different EU countries.
