- Abstract:
The article presents a guide about the diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori. Among those to be treated for this disease include patients with uncomplicated dyspepsia unresponsive to lifestyle change, antacids and without alarm symptoms. Urea breath test (UBT), Stool H. pylori antigen test, blood serology and near patient serology are to be considered in treating uncomplicated dyspepsia. It is also suggested that the disease should be retested to reassure patients of eradication.
