The article discusses the author's experience of encountering a dead body in Baghdad, Iraq. The author notes that he was on patrol late at night when his Humvee came upon a dead body being eaten by dogs. Upon investigating the scene, the author found a shell casing from a gun belonging to an Iraqi police officer.
