Data breaches plague U.S. companies.

The article reports on the results of a survey of executives of businesses and industries concerning data breach in the U.S. It revealed that 85 percent of executives, managers and information technology security officers had experienced a data breach event. While, half of them admitted that they had no incident response plan. As stated, among the common causes for the breach incidents included lost or stolen equipment such as laptops, pocket computers and memory sticks. The survey also found out that most companies are required to report the incident to subjects whose information was lost or stolen.
