      The article offers news briefs from general medical journals. Noncommercial airplane pilots' accident risk factors are considered in relation to a safety training program. The need for increased regulation is discussed. A study of type 1 diabetes is presented, which considers the impact and effectiveness of stem cell autotransplantation. The impact of insulin discontinuation is considered. A study on the impact of anakinra, a recombinant human interleukin, on type 2 diabetes is presented. Pancreatic cell function and glycemic reactions are studied.
