    • Abstract:
The article offers medical treatment when a pregnant woman suffers from unsatisfactory progress of labor. The problem, accordingly, occurs when her cervix is not dilated beyond 4 centimeter after 8 hours of regular contractions and she has been experiencing labor pains for 12 hours or more without delivery. To handle the situation, health care providers are suggested to perform a rapid evaluation of the condition of the woman and fetus and provide supportive care and test urine for ketones.
