      The article presents an overview of the children's book market in China. According to the statistics released by General Administration of Printing and Publication (GAPP), the total number of titles published in China in 2006 reached almost 270,000, including more than 10,000 children's titles. Publishers not specializing in children's titles but have entered the market include People's Literature Publishing House and Jilin Fine Arts Publishing House.
