    • Abstract:
The article presents a study that explores the correlation between parental characteristics and children with infantile autism and specific developmental receptive language disorder in Great Britain. It employed 19 autistic children, 23 children with uncomplicated language disorders aged between four to six months and nine to eleven years and five children with atypical autistic disorder. The findings of the study do not support claims that the parents of autistic children are obsessive, cold, emotionally irresponsible and socially withdrawn individuals.
