The article offers short-term economic forecasts for Ukraine. In February 2007, annual growth of the Leading Economic Indicator increased to 20.69 from 19.87 in December 2006, due to growing prices for ferrous metals on external markets. The growth of this indicator is the evidence of positive fundamental factors of economic development over the February-March 2007 period.
