- Abstract:
The article reports that the European Commission is initiating a dialogue with Belarus on energy security issues, according to German Ambassador to Belarus Martin Hecker. The issue has caused increased interest in connection with a possible change in minister's foreign policy orientation. Hecker adds that Europe recognizes Russia's right to shift to market relations with its partners, but urges Belarus and Russia not to resort to actions that might affect other states.
