    • Abstract:
This article attempts to help fill the void in the practice of marital therapy with Chinese American immigrants. The dynamics of Chinese American couples, treatment issues, and some of the fundamental differences between modern Western and traditional Chinese marriages are delineated. Research findings on marital satisfaction, and the special concerns and problems of this population, are noted. In addition, the application of a specific type of therapy--marital mediation--is presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
