- Abstract:
The article examines the condition of Buddhist publishing in the U.S. The author says that the popularity of Thich Nhat Hanh's book "True Love: A Practice for Awakening the Heart" says a lot about the assimilation of the Buddhist tradition into contemporary U.S. culture. She adds that Buddhist publishing in the U.S. is steady and healthy. The growth in the sales of books for serious readers represents a market correction in publishing for the Buddhist market, according to publisher Tim McNeill.
