    • Abstract:
The article provides information on a study which examined the relationship to social desirability of the judgment of adjustment by psychologists, psychiatric social workers and college students. Based on the results of the Q-sort arrays, the psychologists indicate that there is considerable agreement among experienced clinicians about the specific behaviors that an adjusted person is expected to report. Yet, the correlation of the Adjustment scale judgment with the Social Desirability judgments, possibly indicates that judges resort to a concept of social acceptability of specific behaviors in the absence of knowledge about the underlying genotypical factors.
