    • Abstract:
The article looks at the role of familiarity and social desirability in response selections of individuals in choice tasks. The study involved computation of partial correlations of the neurotic and nonneurotic subjects in order to discover whether both factors contribute to their options. The author notes that the study was also administered to identify the differences in the responses of the two groups. It was indicated that for nonneurotics, both factors were important in their preferences for alternatives, while for neurotics, familiarity was more significant in their preferences.
