    • Abstract:
The article provides information on a study that investigated the effects of n Achievement on two kinds of learning, directed and incidental. It re-examines E. L. Lowell's findings on the degree of learning from the D. McClelland n Achievement index, using altered learning materials. It develops a multiple-choice test to determine the degree of learning of the story. According to an hypothesis, individuals with high n Achievement would learn more in directed and incidental learning situations than those with low n Achievement.
