- Abstract:
The article reports that a total lunar eclipse, where the moon passes through both parts of the Earth's two shadows, will occur on March 3, 2007. It has been known that totality will begin before moonrise on the East Coast of the U.S. It is also noted that lunar eclipses are timed and there are several stages during an eclipse that are calculated and given as universal time. In addition, a table showing local times of sunset, moonrise and the two eclipse stage times that will be visible for the eastern half of the country is provided.
