    • Abstract:
The article presents information on a study that determines the attitudes of child welfare workers who work with young persons adjudicated by the juvenile court as status offender cases. The study findings highlight that the behaviors of status offender are largely attributable to family dysfunction and the courts should be able to mandate parental involvement in the treatment process. The study shows that status offenders should be treated without court intervention by community-based programs.
