- Abstract:
The article mentions foods that contain animal products. Some foods that contain animal products include frosted breakfast cereals, strawberry yogurt, ales and lagers, prepared piecrusts, crackers, fortified orange juice and english cheddar cheese. Frosted breakfast cereals contain gelatin, a thickener produced when bones, ligaments, skin or tendons of cows or hogs are boiled, while strawberry yogurt contains carmine, a red food coloring derived from ground cochineal beetles. English cheddar cheese has rennet, an enzyme extracted from the stomach of unweaned calves.
