The article offers information about the Multimedia Reporting and Convergence 2006, which was held in the library of the Graduate School of Journalism at University of California (UC), Berkeley, last December. During the opening event, some insight about what newspapers are trying to accomplish to make their Web sites competitive in terms of providing information were discussed. In the process, freelance multimedia journalist and UC New Media program lecturer Jane Stevens discussed the concepts of multimedia storytelling. She likewise gave lectures about the difference between a print story put on an online news site and a multimedia story.
