- Abstract:
The article relates the life of Sylvia Frumkin, a mentally ill woman who was admitted to Creedmoor hospital in new York City. A nurse at Creedmoor noted that Frumkin pretended to take her medication. She was discharged from Creedmoor and was accepted at Gould Farm community rehabilitation center in Massachusetts. Doctor Luis Santiago, a psychiatrist at a community center in Long Island, found that Frumkin was not schizophrenic and gave her Anafranil tricyclic antidepressant.
